Relationship and Sex Therapy

It is very common for one or both partners in a relationship to struggle with sexual issues. These sexual impairments can be devastating enough to cause dissolution of relationships. I work with men and women on a variety of issues that affect sexual desire and sexual response, such as relationship conflicts, poor body image, low self-esteem, aging and health concerns, depression, and anxiety. In addition, I am a professional aware of alternate, specialized sexual behaviors such as kink.

As a Diplomate with the American Board of Sexology, I help individuals and couples move away from performance-focused sexual experiences towards more intimate and fulfilling couple experiences. Before relationship therapy treatment can begin, an evaluation that includes each person's sexual history and medical history, as well as the couple's relationship history, is completed. In addition, I closely collaborate with physicians well versed in sexual medicine in order to refer clients for further evaluation to determine if any underlying medical or physiological issues are contributing to the sexual dysfunction.

My approach to sexual therapy is cutting-edge in where I combine goal oriented cognitive-behavioral elements with in-depth contemporary relational psychoanalysis. Each person is welcome where I provide a confidential, non-judgemental environment which enables him/her to safely explore sexual issues.

Please know that I do not practice as a sex surrogate.
